Dried Bay Leaves are used to flavor soups, stews, sauces and braises. Fresh bay leaves are very mild and only develop their flavor after being dried. They have a slightly woody, herbal taste and are similar to thyme and oregano.
Whole Bay Leaves should be removed from your dish before serving, as they are difficult to digest.
Spice Specialist also offers Ground Bay Leaves, which do not have to be removed before serving.
