Great for flavoring your BBQ meats and sauces with that wonderful charcoal aroma without the hassle of needing to heat up coals on a grill.
Remember, no preservatives or anticaking agents have been added. If your seasoning hardens over time (6+ months) then just pop it in a food processor or grind by hand to loosen everything up again.

Creates a cool flavor
This is a neat blend. Tastes good.
While I wouldn’t use a lot of it (moderation is good), throwing it in a meat dish now and again creates an impressive, unique taste.

Their other seasonings are better better
I got this along with the hickory smoke powder (which is good) and the cedar plank seasoning (which is complex and DELICIOUS). This charcoal stuff is okay but tastes like their is a lot of sugar and salt. If you want a good smoky flavor I’d recommend the hickory powder over this.

10 out of 36 people found this helpfulWhile most of our products have low/no salt, this one is about 39% salt and 54% sugar. We originally carried this product because a professional chef requested it specifically. We’ve tried to reconfigure the recipe to leave out certain ingredients but unfortunately there’s no way to counter the charcoal flavor without these ingredients–people just don’t like the taste of plain charcoal.
