Jamaican Sorrel is another name for Hibiscus Flowers. They are ideal for making hibiscus tea as well as the popular (and often spiked) drink Jamaican sorrel punch. The flowers grow abundantly on the island of Jamaica.
When used to brew tea, dried hibiscus flowers can be steeped multiple times.
Another use for sorrel is in soups and sauces. This can work well in certain recipes too, as it has a sharp flavor that is similar to a kiwi or sour strawberries.
