Everything Bagel Spice Cheddar Cheese Ball

Everything Bagel Ball

  • 2 oz. pancetta, finely chopped
  • 1 1/3 cup cheddar cheese extra sharp, grated
  • 4 oz. cream cheese, room temp.
  • 2 tbsp. unsalted butter, room temp.
  • 1 scallion, thinly sliced
  • 2 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 5 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 shallots, thinly sliced
  • crackers for serving
  • 2 tsp Everything Bagel Blend

Add the pancetta to a pan and cook it for around 5-8 minutes on a medium flame. Make sure to stir it often, and remove it once the pancetta has a golden-brown color. Remove it from the stove and let it cool down on a paper towel to remove the excess oil.

Add the cheddar and cream cheese, and butter to a food processor and mix till a smooth paste is formed.

Next, add the scallion, pepper, Worcestershire sauce and the pancetta you just prepared. Mix further with some salt seasoning.

Prepare a bowl with plastic wrap lining. Add the mixture you just prepared into the bowl and try your best to shape it into a ball. Once you’re satisfied with its shape, store it in a refrigerator to make it firm. Depending on your refrigerator temperature, it should around 3 or more hours.

Next up, you’ll be frying the garlic and shallots. Do them separately. First add the garlic to a pan with some oil and fry till it has a golden brown tinge. Remove the garlic and place it on a paper towel to dry. Repeat this process for the shallots. Once the shallots and garlic are cool, mix them in a bowl.

Now roll the cheese ball that you made earlier in this mixture to form a layer around it.

Lastly, sprinkle some Everything Bagel Spice on it for some seasoning (and to really make it pop!).

The delicious cheese ball is ready to eat. Serve it with crackers to round out the dish.
