Flank Steaks with Herbs de Provence Recipe
Ingredients
- 3 tablespoons herbes de provence
- 2 teaspoons fine salt
- 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 2 flank steak (about 2 lbs), trimmed
- drizzle of olive oil
Instructions
- Combine Herbs de Provence, salt, and pepper in a small bowl
- Rub the herb mixture on the steak
- Heat a frying pan over medium-high heat, then add a drizzle of oil. Heat the oil until just before it starts smoking
- Place steak in a pan and cook each steak for about 4 minutes per side for medium rare, depending on thickness
- Transfer the steaks to a cutting board and let rest for 5-10 minutes to distribute juices
- Cut steaks across the grain into slices and serve
