Sumac Berries have a very sour flavor that is similar to that of lemon peel. They are used in marinades, dressings, soups and other dishes.

While the leaves of sumac bushes can cause an allergic reaction, the berries do not so they are always safe for consumption.

These berries are imported directly from Turkey and contain salt and critic acid as a preservative.
