Certified Kosher

Yep, we’re Kosher!

Spice Specialist is OK Kosher certified. That means the majority of our spices are kosher unless otherwise noted. These items are usually marked with a kosher tag on the product page.

Some of our labels may not include the official OK kosher seal. This does not mean it is not kosher! Some of our labels were ordered a little bit before the kosher certification. But rest assured, if it’s marked as kosher on the website, it’s definitely kosher!

Parave

There are three categories of Kosher foods: meat, dairy, and pareve (neither meat nor dairy).

Most Spice Specialist products are Pareve Kosher, with few exceptions (such as our cheese powders which are dairy).

The majority of our products are processed in house in our facility in Hicksville, NY and are certified Kosher compliant by Rabbi Don Yoel Levy.

You can see our full list of 2269 products (and counting!) and their corresponding Kosher Certificates on OK.org under our brand name “Spice House Int’l Specialties,” which encompasses the Spice Specialist and Chef Cherie brands.
