This Cayenne Pepper is made from a unique type of high heat Chile pepper with an extra spicy and pungent taste. The pepper is then dried and ground into a powder. It is most commonly blended with vinegar to create hot sauces.
The environment that the cayenne pepper is grown in affects its heat and flavor profile. Hot cayenne chile peppers tend to be cultivated in hot, dry environments.
This cayenne pepper powder clocks in at 90,000 scoville heat units, 9x hotter than the average jalapeno. Ground cayenne chile peppers add fiery heat to any dish that calls for cayenne or red pepper. This level of heat is best suited to extra spicy ethnic dishes.
Don’t underestimate this hot chile pepper. We recommend adding ground cayenne in small pinches until you’ve reached your desired heat level.
We also offer a lower heat cayenne pepper powder that clocks in at 30,000 scoville heat units.
We also offer a higher heat cayenne pepper powder that clocks in at 120,000 scoville heat units.
**VERSATILE APPLICATIONS: Not only suitable for culinary purposes, cayenne pepper also serves as an effective natural deterrent for various outdoor pests. Simply sprinkle it around your garden, yard, or plants to discourage rodents, skunks, deer, squirrels, birds, cats, snakes, raccoons, and insects.

VERY potent heat in this cayenne pepper...
Cayenne pepper is my most used spice by far. If you love hot and spicy stuff this is definitely worth a try, but don’t underestimate the power of 90K scoville heat units. There is a very noticeable difference in the heat level compared with regular cayenne. Extremely potent and not for the faint of heart!
